What to do 1st ?

Mon May 15, 2006 1:11 pm

I’m in a bit of a quandary….I have a few things in the works for the vintage divers but I have only so much capitol to expend at one time. I would very much like your opinions on which of these three things would be the most important and be the most beneficial to the community to start with.
I’m working with Luis to help put the finishing touches on his new nozzle assembly. That part is a done deal and does not enter the picture. It is pretty much down to lawyers, guns and money. Luis has designed a spectacular product that I know will be well received by many. Here are the three things I am working on.

1. Reproduction high pressure seats for Stream Airs, Mistrals and Jet Airs. I’m shooting for a retail cost of $12.00

2. Copy of the Mar-Vel banjo fitting that will work with short yoke regulators. Shooting for a retail cost of $40.00

3. Very thin, latex rubber duckbills that are replicas of the originals. $10.00 retail cost.

PLEASE VOTE FOR YOUR 1st CHOICE ABOVE

New seats at that price would be awesome. It would keep our regs running for years to come.

My second choice would be the thinner banjo. I'm holding off because I'm looking forward to the new and much improved nozzle of the new Millenium.

Lastly, would be the duckbill. I have no problems with the ones we have now.
Diving like back when toilets used to really flush, styrofoam was non-existant in a car, and seltzer water wasn't so damn expensive.

could I change my vote ?

I finished overhaualing a RAM last night (body ring was a pain to get off it); left air on it and pressure stayed the same for four hours; took a couple or breaths of air off it and it's leaking ... hope I can find a hp seat for it ...

Can I change my vote to HP seat ???

The HP seats that Bryan mentions are for Stream Airs, Mistrals and Jet Airs.

Bryan sells high pressure seats for the RAM. Here's the link to purchase them from him:

Thank you Joe....It seems like a lot of folks these days forget that I have a store......
Here is a direct link to the whole page I have of seats and stems for regulators. I have both the original RAM hp seat and the updated Conshelf teflon hp seat which is far superior. You just have to cut a new pin to the correct length so it works in a RAM nozzle.

If you don't seen an item in the store you can E-mail me about it.....

My vote goes for the new HP seats. The rest are "icing on the cake".

Thin Banjo Adaptors

Sun Jun 04, 2006 10:51 am

Hi Bryan: According to the poll you recently conducted it appears that the thin banjo adaptors clearly won the race. I was just wondering when these will be available; you can definitely count me in for one. By the way my DW Mistral looks and performs great with the new repro body clamp ring and rebuild kit I purchased from you. I'll be looking forward to the thin banjo adaptor to use with it. Thanks for all you've done for the vintage dive community, and Safe Diving To All! :D Terry Stevens; Benzonia, Michigan NAVED Member

Don't look for them anytime in the near future. I'm still working on keeping production costs down so they can be made available at a reasonable cost.
