So,
Who sells it?
When is/was it sold?
What is it's name?
Where may we find out about it?

Eagerly await your reply,

I don't even know what a staff report is. I'm certainly not making one. As for the current rearview mirror, all I know is my dive club gave several away as door prizes at our last banquet. I counted myself lucky not to win one.

[Nemrod"]I miss Aqua Craft, it was your one stop shopping place for all sorts of stupid stuff, my weight belt buckle, all stainless, it is Aqua Craft, got some other of their stuff around too.

You are so correct..Lots and lots of stupid stuff-A rear view mirror for Scuba divers is a typical example-but it sold well and made a great deal of money for Bob Mitchel when he owned the company. He or his company Aqua Craft introduced a number of unique items to the diving world

1) Simon beans and JES made a staff report for you--so relax.

2) I note that the company is closing them out. Shades of Aqua Craft 35 years or more previous...History certainly repeats and repeats and repeats. It appears every generation reinvents the wheel.

3) Too bad you didn't win -- You could have tossed the in a box and in 2040 pull them out and had as much fun as I did with this "Rear View Mirror for Scuba Divers..."

4) We have all learned a bit from this exercise-- I know I certainly have...

I had totally forgotten about Aqua Craft. I was thinking that Global was the company that made all the gagets. I still have several Aqua Craft weight belt buckles left over from my shop in the 60s'

Most people have forgotten about Aqua Craft (AC.) Bob Mitchell (dba) Aqua Craft was a pioneer in the development of diving products who was never known by the modern bubble blowing tube suckers or has been forgotten by the veteran diver. Yet he risked so much and contributed so much to popularise and develop the dive business and the dive shop concept. He developed and presented them with an ever expanding aray of products to market and increase their profits.

He was a true pioneer of diving who has been totally ignored in the history of diving....So sad especially since history is only 50+ years old..

The only Aqua-Craft catalog I have access to is the 1979 Wishbook III. But, lo-and-behold on page 35:

I do remember the gagets of Aqua-Craft. Thanks for the memories.

Yeap... That is exactly what I remember.
I wish I had one of those now. That way I could admire my good looking Royal Aqua Master wile I was diving.

In my opinion, that vintage wrist mounted mirror is considerably less impractical than the new mask mounted gadget. Heck, I may go as far as saying that the wrist mounted one might have actually being somewhat functional. We will never know now.

Yeah... I forgot about Aqua Craft too. Thanks for the reminders.
And thanks for the pictures Allan.

The shop I occasionally worked at while in college was chocked full of Aqua Craft stuff. THe owner, my diving mentor, nor his wife who was only slightly older than me had any interest in orders, stocking, or providing diversity of products. I ordered up everything Aqua Craft could supply, ordered up all of the Scuba Pro stuff and all sorts of cool stuff. I then had to build him some racks to display it all on. The stuff sold fast. They offered me a shop of my own to run in another town but I declined, I was nearly done with my Masters and they were hiring geologist fresh out of school with Masters degrees at enormous salaries, let's see--uh, be poor and run a dive shop or be rich and work for an oil company---uh---how much exactly did you say you was gonna pay me Mr. Oil Man? In fact, there was such demand if you could even spell geology they would hire you! When my parents found out what they were paying my father went off mumbling and my mother swooned and my wife now of some 27 years who was also a geologist asked me to mention that to them and you know what--they said sure---you both got jobs--holy cow--first real money I made I bought all new dive gear for me and my new wife person from the dive shop and lot's of Aqua Craft widgets, loaded into the new Subaru four wheel drive station wagon and headed off to Houston. Thanks Aqua Craft.
