I finally have come to realize its importance to the diving world, so now I can say, "hell yes, RED works"!!

I like it and I would like to see the red hoses as standard with the Kraken. I you prefer black, grey or yellow hoses then you would need to stipulate that when ordering. If no colour is stipulated then the hoses on the Kraken will be red. 8)

I am going with red. I have already expressed my desire for red  and to my amazement Bryan did not cut my hoses  .

I think the red goes with the red emblem and of course it goes with the red on my Atomic Frameless and best yet, the red "color accent" kit on my cute new Aeris Accel fins.

I got plenty of black hoses and I got several yellow and grey and even a green but red, now we are cooking with gas.

Gooooooo R-E-D !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Nothing gets attention like red, if you do not believe me drive by a cop in a red Mustang and rev the engine. See what happens  . Red will make the DIR guys faint  .

(But I will be happy no matter what. BTW, I can see clear too with a clear regulator housing, clear everything, okay, I am already ahead, better be quiet now  )

I am a very traditional diver and like the black hoses but....... I do like the way this one looks. I would dive it. Just do not bring out pink hoses. Please!!!!!!

I think it brands the reg like the distinct label on the can.......

Just my 2 cents....

I think the previous posts hits on something, branding. To me, when I see grey hoses, I think Voit, yellow, I think USD, black is universal of course. The red, is definitely 21st century Argonaut Kraken edition.

Of course, red color is the first to go, yellow goes further, grey all the way!

Maybe the next edition of the Argonaut XX could have Haint Blue hoses and label?

Looks like the voting is turning against the idea. Adding a color to the line is a minimum 6K investment. Could go either way right now.

Yup, the red will help to announce the Kraken to the scuba community and I do like it. I vote YES!

Guess I'm still old fashioned, black is designed for being invisible. Its fun to sit back and be able to watch the others without them realizing you are watching. But while on the boat get lots of comments about "that old diver" and his antique gear. I really enjoy explaining a "real" regulator to them. :)

Ya know; I'm beginning to think you guy's are right. The more you look at it; those red hoses start looking better. I also very much consider myself from "The Old School", and I definitely prefer the ole standards colorwise when it comes to these hoses. BUT; then there's the Kraken, and I definitely agree with the statements that the red hoses "define" this particular regulator; just as grey defines Voit, and yellow for a Mistral. Either way; this reg looks great and I am glad that we now have a reg that has properly introduced the double hose reg to modern day diving. Many "THANKS" and congratulations to all of you who are responsible for this! 8) TERRY
