Great site with some awesome Video

Fri Jan 11, 2013 6:37 pm

While looking for this summers (yes I'm thinking about summer) family RV destination. I came across this site when I was researching camping/dive sites in Door co. WI. Some of it might look familiar, but alot of other stuff too.

That's my clubs website and I'm the current Prez. Be sure and check out the movie theater link. There are a lot of my own Watertight Productions videos as well as many submissions from other members. Most of the videos were taken on the West shore of Lake Michigan of it's many wrecks. Well worth a look.

Jim,

Is that the anchor you found while Rob was there or are the lakes so full of anchors that you find 'em on every dive? Either way, it's going to look great in the club house or your dive shed.

And may I say, that I watched several of your videos last year when you had posted a link to the Vimeo or club site. I was thinking all those wrecks would make for a great vintage get-together dive weekend. I'm very grateful for all the videos you've shared. Hope to see more soon.

You don't find many anchors like that one. Theres a story behind that one too. I did a write up on it for a previous clubs newspaper back in 2006. I'll post that on this thread if I can find it. Immediately upon reaching shore that anchor was confiscated by my better half for a lawn ornament. LOL
I'm glad you enjoyed the videos. We do have great diving around here. But an event would be iffy as Lake Michigan tends to be pretty chilly and fairly unpredictable. It's really hard to make long range plans. I'd hate to arrange for charters and have people travel long distance just to hear...... "I'm sorry senor, the lake is closed".

I agree, I would love to meet up over a weekend this summer since many sites are within a days drive and easily cancelled depending on conditions.
