I must say that Tony and his staff were very nice, helpful, and accommodating. I’m sure that hosting a huge pack of inland rubes with 50-year old gear took a little extra patience on their part, but I greatly appreciate their interest and willingness to let us “do our own thing.” :D

I have seen a time or two on the other board, where folks say that there can be a little ‘tude floating around in that shop... 8) Well, having experienced none of that myself (quite the opposite – I saw nothing but respect) I can only surmise that any ‘tude is reserved for the little girly-men-single-hose divers with their plastic fins!

Thanks for putting us on the right track, Bernie. You've got a great place down there!

I enjoyed having them as our LDS for SD. I will dive with them again I am sure. They really made an effort despite worsening weather to get our second dive in, most shops would have not gone that far.

Although I am new to VDH, my wife and I dive with Tony Snow and the Dive Locker staff on a very regular basis since we live within a 4 hour drive of PC and our daughter lives there. We make numerous trips there during the year and use the Dive Locker 99% of the time. I can't say enough nice things about him and the staff. I have never noticed any kind of attitude from anyone there, quite the opposite, actually. Everyone there has always been more than nice and willing to go the extra mile for us.

They did treat us very well at Sand Dog, I don't have anything but good to say about them. I would love to see SD return some day.
Lott, as a new DH diver, you will eventually experience a good bit attitude from some shops and other divers, new instructors are the worst. Just expect it and deal with it as you see fit....personally, I like to find their OW class and hang around observing the class in perfect trim and under spot on buoyancy control in nothing more than a DH reg and a harness....the looks from the students and the irritation of the instructor is well work the time. :)

Herman...I hope to be able to do that...someday. However, I have not been a very good boy over the years and have become very buoyant, naturally! At one time, in my misbegotten youth, I could sink to the bottom just by exhaling...not so much anymore. In any event, I will be "talking" to many of you as the winter goes on. Hmmm...I do have an OMS BC that I could convert into a hog...
