There are some variations too. There were at least 2 types of HP ports, 3/8th and British style, like the Merlins. They also had at least two nozzles, French (a metric yoke) and the American yoke. They were also sold in Germany with a DIN, which screwed on to the nozzle. They made LP hookah versions in the cart wheel and a CG-45 type can as well. It makes a great chest mount when attached to a reduction valve
I have an early cart wheel type which is French and will not go on an American tank, but works fine on my side J valve 1958 French tank. (See picture below) The other two are the black labeled American sized yoke nozzle, and the DIN works on either of them.
Most don't seem to have HP ports at all. If you see one which appears to have never had a label, it may be a military version. I don't know if the military removed the label, or they were provided that way. There were three different mouth pieces. The early ones had the metal mouth piece, with no valves. They also had a screw off hose mouth piece and of course the later models which are rubber and have non return valves. The screw off style works with the constant volume suit.
La Spirotechnique back packs appear on the French eBay from time-to-time. They have black webbing with a yellow stripe in the center.
