Thanks for the pic Karl. That watch is very different. Mine is much smaller and has a black watch face. I'll be taking the watch into the jewelers on Tuesday, once they open it up maybe they can tell me something..

I checked the PDF of the 1962 Voit catalog, and I don't recognize the original manufacturer of the watch. However, I would like to hear what your watch maker has to say about it, especially what movement is in it. I suspect it may be an A. Schild movement. The Tropic brand strap was a very common and popular dive strap used through the 60's and 70's. Hope this little bit helps, it is a really cool watch.

Thanks for the info, I will definitely post here what the watch repairman has to say about the movement. I did find out about the Swiss Tropic straps by comparing the catalog picture to ones I found on the Net. Those bands are not cheap! I'm thinking the total restoration on this watch is gonna be steep.
It'll be well worth it though; I'm extremely happy to have it.. :)
