That great. The little head with the wings below my hand drawing is pretty cool. Almost like a seahorse...hmmmm. Now that Mobil merged with Exxon I do not know if they use Pegasus in their logo. Not sure if there are any trademarks on any greek mythology names or images...may have to back few thousand years but the ancient hall of records was destroyed in the first century

Sorry to be the PIA on this. Wouldn't you think someone should ask the developer what he has in mind? Afterall the whole idea was his.

Now which developer...Rob who wants ideas for a label or is Luis producing a new product?
I am keeping both in mind. I shall suggest that the new model not be called Phoenix because it not a Phoenix. Not asking because it is just my opinion.
Simonbeans has brought up a valid suggestion....

- Here's another possibility. The Pegasus in this one is the same one in the Mobil logos. I got a higher resolution version off a public domain clip art site... It would be nice if it was public domain.

Thanks for the input guys, but I am not making a pegasus. That is a diff reg actually as Luis pointed out. My reg is a Trieste mounted in FX cans, also something that Luis mastered or figured out. Sooooo, I kind of was looking for names in that direction. Now, the Waterbuffalo is not out of the question as long as Bryan will let me use his trade marked image of course. So leaving the Pegasus to Luis I need some input ref this FX regulator. Sorry that I confused you all.

hmmm I'm definitely confused then....seemed like Luis responded specifically to your original post Rob and specifically said that what you were talking about is in fact the precusor to the Pegasus and because of that he feels it shouldn't be renamed.... am I reading that wrong? ...if I am reading it wrong I'd be happy to suggest names

I don’t really care what labels anyone puts on their own regulators.
Heck… some people even like to name their cars. That doesn’t change the model.

I just like to identify all the different projects I am working on. That is my only purpose for me naming project. And calling it by other names to me is just confusing. I am currently working four different regulator projects. IMO, it is just nice to keep the names simple and I try to relate them to the item (so they are easy to remember, at least for me).

Rob, if you want to call your regulator the Water Buffalo… I think that is great!


BTW, I do like many of the labels in this thread, but please do not use my name on any label.

Ahhh ok. Well, here's a thought for you Rob. What about the "Kraken". You can base the label on the Spectre logo label you already have. I can't track down a clean non reflective image of the spectre logo but these are an ok mock-up I guess.
