Welcome to the pool. As a fellow "FNG" (floundering new guy) I can attest to the addictive nature of VDH diving. For me it started after I found out about the group from an article in Scuba Diving Magazine... couple of months later I became the proud owner of a Dacor R-4 and am now up to two Dacors and have had a DA Aquamaster upgraded, by Bryan, with a HPR kit and Phoenix. Also being relitively mechanically inclined, I build precision rifles in my off hours, I too felt that the rebuild would be a fun project. In the end I yielded to the logic of my better half, "suck it up and have a professional do it!", swallowed my pride and sent it to Bryan. My advise; if its your first rebuild, make sure to do your research (had to have that fact driven home to me) and make sure to ask lots of questions. The guys and gals here are pretty good about answering questions and giving honest feedback. But most importantly, have fun and welcome to the group. Hooah.

Now Ron are you suggesting any of us will be bringing 4 or 5 or 6 or more regs. :)

Thank you Ron, for the kind offer. I have some vintage gear like the mask, fins and a couple of steel 72’s with back packs & J-valves. I also have a Conshelf Supreme that I could use, I believe it qualifies as vintage. I’m debating sending my DA to have it serviced as it is in time for Sand Dog and then converting it to PRAM at a later date, mainly due to the cost of the conversion and avoiding the CFO’s ire. If my DH is not ready for Sand Dog, then I would like to try a DAAM or a PRAM if available. The mouth piece is in good shape I’ll be ordering my hose and wagons wheels shortly. Dacorciver23, I read your post about your upgrade, which strongly influences me to have Bryan do it. Thanks again everyone, this is a great group to be a part of.

I just saw the new post from Herman 6 regs, really? I'm in so much trouble and I haven't done anything yet.

Lets see.... Phoenix, DA, mistral, maybe a Trieste, Faux 50 Fathom, Pegasus and a new project reg I hope to unvail at SD...I will likely have 6 or 7 with me. If you want to try a double hose, I suspect we can easily fix you up. :)

Herman and Ron, thank you so much for the offer. I really would like to try one or more if possible, you guys are awesome. I have everything else I need, hopefully I can still fit into my 5mm
