Re: How old is your C card?

Well guys, I don't have my original cert card, but have updated my PADI Card. My first Cert Card was from a local dive shop, not nationaly recconized ,( 1969 ), by Hasen's Sport Shop in Highland,IN. And then I was recertifided in Florida. at Florida Institute of Tech.( S.O.M.E.T.), In Jensen Beach, Fl.(1973). At the end of Double Hose Prooduction. Never owned a DH, but the fascination still exists in me today. My first reg was a Calyso III, then a Calyso IV. which I used continuiosly for more than 20 years,Oh by the way, that reg never got serviced and never had an issue with it. I now own a 2010 Aqua-Lung Legend Supreme that has had to be serviced twice in 2 years, go figure. So I have decided to reintroduce myself back into diving to "Old Fashioned Way". And maybe teach a few newcomers a thing or two about Bouyancey contol.( My sons cousins and yes even the localPADI Dive Instructor, for examples.

I received my first card in 1960 through a club in Camas, WA called the Aquaneers. My PADI certification was in 1986 in Hawaii.

Hi new guy here and first post. I was certified NAUI in 1976 in Davis CA, I was 16 at the time. I have always been interested in DH regs and finally got one at a local dive shop for a trade of some motorcycle gear. It’s a DA Aquamaster with a Pico Blvd. blue tag with serial number. My research puts it around 1960/61. I’m excited about it and now have to decide what I want to do with it. My original thought was to re-build, but now the idea of turning it into a phoenix is becoming more desirable. Thank you for having this community and I would like to meet you guys at the Sand Dog event in Orange City, which is not too far from where I live in Ormond Beach. Of course it’s also at the same time as the Catfish Festival in Crescent City, which my wife likes to attend, I may be able to do both.
