Thanks for the link Surflung. I would be very interested in hearing a divers input on this compressor. And at $549 bucks, it would be worth an compete annual rebuild considering the cost of K-14 parts and shipping.
The only problem I can see is that there is no filter. So for breathing air, you would either want a very clean source or you would have to add that to your system somewhere between the source compresor and the shoebox.
On a sidebar, there was a compressor manufacturer in the Seattle area I met around 2002 who was building a very small compressor with a rotary design. The system was very small and ran on 110AC. I haven't seen hide not hair of him in the past several years so I don't know what ever became of the design. At the time, however, he did have a small manufacturing facility just south of Renton, WA.
EDIT: Nevermind, just checked the fill time for an AL80 to 3000psi and it's 24 hours!! Doesn't look like an option.
