Dive with blue groper

Sat Aug 18, 2012 12:08 am

Nice dive with a friendly blue groper in Sydney, Australia. Water was fairly clear and calm. Diving with my new Phoenix RAM and VDH backplate. Short clip attached (hope it opens OK). Rgds.

What a cute fish! Thanaks for the neat video. Also, your Phoenix system looks very well thought out and ship-shape. May I aske what BC wing you are using and the buoyancy it has? (looks like a traveler size).

Can I share your video on the VDH facebook page?

Bryan, please feel free to use the footage.

Surflung, it's an 18lb zeagle wing from the express tech. I've had many comments on the VDH backplate and that size wing. My only criticism is that the top of the wing is to big and stops me placing the cans lower. That said, I'm very happy with it and its my favorite set up.

Anyone visiting Australia give me a call and I can arrange some good dives from wreck dives to reef.

I use the same Zeagle wing. I just fold the top of the wing a bit a tuck it under the regulator. I am able to raise the plate until the curve section touches the bottom of the can.
