I did notice a few books - but not many books. One was the USN diving manual, others did not contain a dust jacket

It has been my observation over the years that a collector may have all the items but if they do not have the Manuals, Catalogs and Brochures that describes the units they really have a collection of junk.

I had a collection of post World War 11, (1940-1945) French Books and Manuals which were printed on very cheap, delicate almost newsprint quality paper, therefore I would suspect most European items printed to the mid 1960s would be in low supply and high demand.

All my French items were stolen by an Expat Frenchman and his wife who scooted off to Mexico and probably by now all the items have been tossed. Gone forever!

Hi Adair,
many thanks for the publicity for our meeting 2012 in Germany :-)
5 years ago we started with 3 divers and now we had more than 50 visitors. Last year we founded the HTG (Hist. Divers Society) where we have 25 members now. We are not a german society, we are open for members around the world ;-) for collectors, double hose divers, hard hat divers, ...
As Adair said, we meet us in June every year near Neustadt/Weinstraße and we would be very glad to meet some divers from this community there.
If there are more questions,...
Lothar
