1. I got the Rollei tri-pod from Franz Rothbrust – HDS.de. He made them is his designer working shop. I don't have the Kendal's book!!!
2. About Bruno Hermanny:
Some informations - Born on December 26, 1932, in Sao Paulo, Bruno Otero Hermanny had his first contact with a pool in the old Germania Club, Clube Pinheiros current. With the change of the family to Rio de Janeiro, when he was six years, came to know the sea, which never went away. It was created in Ipanema and devoted himself mainly to water sports.
Influenced by the athlete José Candido Pimentel Duarte, a family friend, began to frequent the Guanabara Club, which started in swimming and yachting. On the beach practicing the "Jacaré," the embryo of surfing but without surfboard, and fishing with "slingshot", small harpoons rustic, with his partner Luiz Correa de Araujo.
Taken to Fluminense Football Club for a swim test, there remained some years training and competing in speed events, having integrated champion teams - State level, National and South American (1954), in the company, among others, John Goncalves, Aran Boghossian and Tetsujo Okamoto. While in military service, was summoned to Modern Pentathlon competitions, and participated in two World Championships, especially in swimming events and horse riding.
In the Spearfishing was, however, that has achieved more success, winning state championships, national, and twice World Championship, in 1960 in Italy and 1963 in Rio de Janeiro. For his achievements representing the Yacht Club of Rio de Janeiro, received the title of Honorary Membership of that club.
Bruno died in Rio de Janeiro, the February 20, 1992, and left four children, Bruno, Eric and Bianca, with Lucia Ferreira Guimarães, and Gabriela, with Thereza Cristina Cardoso Hermanny.
