A new member from Brazil

Sun Nov 27, 2011 4:41 pm

Hello all,

I have participate in the forum a few months and already have bought some regulators of some members.

I would like to introduce myself and tell a little about me.
I live in São Paulo, southeastern of Brazil. I have doven since 1985. When my children were born (I have a couple - 13 and 17 years old), I had stopped diving for seven years. :( But today I dive often. :D

I am a naval engineer, Open Water Scuba Instructor - PADI, CCR Trimix Divers IANTD, Technical Cave Diver NACD and Trimix Diver (IANTD and TDI).
I have a hobby of making videos sub (http://www.youtube.com/user/AdairRibeiroJr)

My interest in vintage scuba gear has always existed, but only this year I have started my collection of double hose regulators.
I never dived with a double hose regulator !!!! :( :( ... but I hope soon begin to dive with these fascinating equipment.

Soon I will put my collection on the net. The name of my site will be http://www.cg-45.com .

I have studied much about the various manufacturers and various models that exist in several countries.
The VDH has been a reference to this subject. It's been a great pleasure to join this community and hope too soon be able to participate in an event with you.

My English is not great, but I have dedicated myself to learn as well.

Since I am the only collector I know in Brazil, the VDH has been one of my "Bibles" of study, and where I can learn about this new "passion" that I got!!

Cheers!!!!

Well as you've been active on the board for quite some time, this seems a little belated. But Welcome aboard!

Adair! :D Finally, we get to see your collection! That was some meteoric rise in collecting from eBay there and all over the place as well.

I wouldn't exactly say that you haven't dived double-hoses... your RB is one, but just not vintage ;) I like watching your rebreatheiros videos as well. But really, all those fab vintage regs, haven't you got any wet just yet?

Looking forward to seeing you participate more on the board :D

Adair, I know for a fact that you have at least 2 diveworthy regs in your collection already. Get them wet, you may never return to the modern stuff.
