New Squale style mask

Tue Nov 29, 2011 1:57 pm

Got my new mask yesterday and boy does that mask seal! Very nice! Dumb question for you Bryan. Do I use tooth paste on this mask to get rid of gunk left over from mold release? I understand with some new masks these days that's a no no. The mask is so nice, I definetely don't want to screw it up. Tanks!

The president of the company that manufactures the masks was the person I spoke with at DEMA. His English was much better than my French but from what I understood they used no silicone on the glass and it should pose no problems with fogging like many new masks do. So I don't think it will requires any harsh chemical or abrasive to prep it for defog.
Glad you like it....I knew they would be winners when I was lucky enough to stumble across them.

Hi Bryan,
I got my shipment that I ordered on Black Friday. That mask is fantastic. I wasn't expecting the rubber to fit my face so well. I think it fits better than my modern masks.

I just ordered another mask and that was my comment. Bryan has some real live Vintage diver crack here. These masks are the real deal. I have trouble getting masks to seal on my face. My new Squale fits me like a simular mask I had when I was a kid in the 60's. I think I finally have a mask that won't flood as soon as I'm task loaded. That's right, I'm not talking about just using these for vintage diving. I just ordered a Equirama style to use with DIVE RESCUE!!! They are that good!
Bryan uncondtionally warrenties these masks for good reason. He knows he'll never see one back. Try them. You WILL like them!

First off, my equi-rama mask arrived last week from VDH.
When my mask from the 60’s was no longer useable, for some reason I saved the glass face plate and the metal band
and pitched the mask. I placed those two old items up against the new equi-rama mask after it arrived just to get an overall comparison; perfect match.
Great job in making these masks available.
