Holiday Giving Time

Sat Nov 27, 2010 1:51 pm

This year I would like to make a donation at Christmas from all of us in the vintage diving community to the food pantry here in Tampa. I have a couple of ideas and I would appreciate your thoughts and feedback on them.

1. Put the duckbill eliminators on E-bay and donate all the proceeds directly to the charity. I know a lot of you purchased them already but believe it or not there are a lot of divers that don't read the form or visit the store  Or it's just a good excuse to have a few spares :D

2. I have a nice Royal Aqua-Master that I am rebuilding soup to nuts. It's not perfect but it does have a long yoke and I'll throw in a banjo fitting. It would make an excellent double hose for anyone. Or keep it as a spare, trade it to someone else or sell it and make a profit. Any way you look at it the charity wins! I will sell raffle tickets for $5.00 each and let JES use the random number generator to determine the winner on Christmas Eve.
Doing it right should include some common sense, not just blindly following specs and instructions. .Gary D, AWAP on SB

#2 is my preference because it will involve a lot less work on your part, i.e., boxing, mailing and all the other BS associated with eBay including the % lost to eBay and Paypal.

Let the donation ticket sales begin! The more you buy the less the chances are to be "Karled"
