Cozumel 2013 Photos

Sat Nov 23, 2013 12:25 pm

Post your Cozumel photos and videos here.....Glad we had some photo pros on the trip cause mine are not so great. I surely hope that Nemrod got some good shots of Allan being attacked by the Octopus and the Moray eel massacre.....

Well, here is one, I have several to follow. I just now am getting them into my computer. A teaser:

Uh, it seems that diving with a regulator with a picture of an octopus on it, well, not a good idea if a precocious octopus is about

And look who else is in on the trouble  What further can be said:

You are bothering me and I would like you to go away now:

The amazing engine block, apparently it is not at full residency this year:

Huge sponges and beautiful color on Cozumel reefs:

Cute little critter:

My camera is still smoking. I shot nearly 2000 photos. Since I shoot RAW and JPEG that means nearly 4000 files to go through. That is a new record for me I think. Well, I came close in the Caymans. I used to shoot maybe 20 rolls of 36 Kodachrome. It cost a fortune in those days. I went back and found a few slides from Cozumel in 1984, there are no fish on the reefs. There are now. Unfortunately some of them are lion fish:

Notice how the Octopus is going after the Octo! LOL. I took very few stills one the trip, but I've got some good shots of the fill station on the mainland. I'll be getting stuff up on here before long though. I dove an inland lake this morning. 60 minute dive in 37 degree water. Air temp? about 20F. A little different then Coz. ha

Here are a few of mine. I still need to spend a lot more time with my new camera but it sure seems it is capable of better shots than I am.

And Herman swoops in with all the art shots showing the beauty of the reef......So on the opposite side of quality photography here are a few selections of what Rob and I call Random surface shots.

On my last diving day I joined a group going to the mainland to dive a Cenote. On the way in we stopped at this fill station to pick up some tanks. Pretty impressive operation.

I need to get photo shop or something to clean these up. Maybe for Christmas!
