Sounds like a great opportunity to use your Phoenix equipped DAAM. These regulators are bulletproof reliable and you should be able to dive it as often as you like, at Truk or wherever.

Enjoy your trip, and make a video of your adventures using the Phoenix among the sunken tombs that are the wrecks of Truk.
Too DAAM Many double hoses, It's not a hobby, it's an addiction.

- You have GOT to be kidding me! You have the best Double Hose collection in the world and you haven't tried one out yet? :roll: In that case it is totally fitting that you do the deed in one of the most exotic diving spots in the world. :mrgreen:

Personally IMHO I think Adair needs to have a VDH Instructor along with him on that Truk Trip and I can not think of anyone better for him to take along than ME. Diving Double Hose Regulators is Dangerous and only through Proper Instruction and supervision will he be OK. YEP he needs me to go a long. Adair, I volunteer and will sacrifice for the rest of the group. 8) :D :shock: :P :lol:
First dives? 1967 and I never lost the fever.

Hi Adair,
I too was surprised that with your fine collection you were still a V-V*!

I hope that you enjoy your experience. Some people wonder what all the fuss is about, but for me it is a return to a whole different way of diving with a simplified kit of equipment, not just the old regs... but they are fun too.

What regulators are you diving in Truk? (it's in our top ten list of diving experiences)

* Vintage Virgin

Have fun!

Hello all,
I arrived today from Truk Lagoon. It was an amazing trip!!!
Not more a Vintage Virgin!!!! Hahahaha!!!
I did my first dive with a Phoenix HPR RAM...I used it in the right side of my double.... 200 ft in Nagano Maru. The regulator is fantastic!:mrgreen:
Congratulations Bryan! The Phoenix HPR RAM is a great regulator.... The breathIng was easy at 200 ft. I'm putting some pictures.
Asap I edit the video, I'll put the link here.

Adair, Truk Lagoon certainly is an amazing place. We also dived vintage--sort of. My wife used her Aquarius and I had a more modern Conshelf with a Healthways 2nd stage. We had a great time there! On our last day we visited Kimieo Aisek, he was very ill at the time.

I have made a spelling error. It is Kimiuo Aisek.
