Here is the newly revised common sense look at the evolution of the MK 5 regulator. I took into account what Luis and Sitka said below.

A true 2nd Gen. MK5 is rather hard to come by when you think about it.

The only ones that would fit into a "Vintage" category in my view is the first gen and maybe the 2nd.

According to my memory (and confirmed by the catalogs) the second generation with the four-port LP swivel didn't come out until much later. The catalogs doesn't show it until 1978.
I know they were not around in the first half of the 70's.
The 3000 psi yoke I think came out much earlier than 1978, but that I am not sure.

The Scubapro site shows the first gen was from 1965 - 1977.
Unfortunately, the site has gap in the timeline and does not show a 2nd generation at all.

Luis and Sitka are correct. I suppose with Scubapro never try to look for timeline advancements with out looking in the catalogs first. The generations are correct though. I went through the catalogs and you see real advancements by SP in the late 70s. I will correct the dates on the collage pic.
