Odd message loggin in on IE

Sun Dec 08, 2019 8:12 am

I am getting the message below when I try to log in with windows7/ IE 11. I don't have the issue if I use Firefox on the same machine. For some reason FF did make me log in again when I tried to send this but it at least let me in.

The submitted form was invalid. Try submitting again.

And now its making me log back in again (and erasing everything I type) when I try to post something. I show being logged in at the top right of the screen but the "you must log in " screen comes up when I submit the post.

This has happened to me more than once. I just figured it was a glitch seeing as how I use Apple Safari. Thus whenever I post anything (which is seldom) I type it up in WORD and then copy and paste in the message. That way if the site does as you describe I don't have to retype it again. Sort of a bother.

Just got that message too using the autofill, but when I tried it again (autofill on Safari). Might just be a transient glitch.

Hi guys,

I can tell you that I run a modern computer (windows 10) with Chrome, Brave, and Edge and it doesn't do it on mine or on my Iphone.

It may be something that I can tweak. I will tell you guys that IE 11 is literally one of the biggest security holes on the planet and you are practically begging to have your identity stolen.

Even Microsoft tells you not to use IE, for example:

https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/ ... a-p/331732

You should literally never use it other than to download a suitable and secure browser like FF, Chrome, Brave, etc.

I'm in work on this.

Thanks,

Ron

Found login redirect change in template that can resolve this issue. Working with Paul to get it resolved.

Also Windows 7 end of life is 14 January 2020. Windows 7 was released in 2009. Operating systems are not like classic cars. They do not get better with age.

Just as an example I can steal your identity with a thumb drive on a Windows 7 computer. It takes me about 45 seconds.

I would strongly encourage all of you to run the most modern computer and modern operating system that you can afford.

Examples: Windows 10, Mac OS, CentOS 7, ChromeOS, etc.

If it's more than 5 years old it can probably be hacked by a 12 year old.

I would be remiss if I didn't mention that.

sorted now. Was happening to me for the last week or so and assumed it was a forum issue. Windows 10, Chrome, using autofill. Glad it's sorted out
