That looks also really cool and functional. Will those weight pocket end up almost on your back ??

Sort of. They are perfectly positioned just aft of my hip so they are back out of the way but the dump pulls are easily accessible. The weight is disbursed to the back plate so I don't even feel them. Mark

So, what is the reason for your preference in steel over aluminum for dry suit diving?

Don't know his reason but for me the heavier the back plate the less weight on your belt/pocket, etc...

I had the same thought. You need the same weight no matter where you put it.
I absolutely hate trying to lift weight integrated bc's into my boat.
