3D Titan II DH

Sat Oct 10, 2020 4:51 pm

3D printed DA/Mistral style double hose boxes with an integrated Healthways type mushroom exhaust made for the Titan II first stage by James J. I just assembled it today, and tried it out on a tank. It works like it should!

The exhaust needs some tinkering with still since the spokes are pretty delicate. The coolest part of this is that the hole for the first stage can be easily set up for lots of different 1st stages!

Pretty nifty! What filament did you use?

I'm using PETG for these... seems to be good balance of strength, and lack of brittleness. Of course, Phil knows that these are deep in the "use at your own risk" range... I haven't done any testing (at all, much less to destruction) yet.

Respectfully,

James

But you promised a lifetime guarantee!

Oh. MY lifetime....

No worries. I see these boxes as an alternative to cutting up vintage parts for my hotrod regulators. I can test fit in these, and make adjustments w/o ruining a metal box. I doubt I'd dive these anywhere but in a pool, at least until they prove durable enough.

Yes, if you die, you void the warranty.

In the '80s, I went to a hypnotist to quit smoking. It worked, but that's not the story.

So, he said, "If you ever have an overwhelming urge to smoke again, you can come back for more sessions. I promise you lifetime free sessions."

He was killed in a car accident 6 months later.

Oh! His lifetime.....
