Your custom made dual purpose nut driver/_?_ shipped today by first class postage. It is ergonomically designed to work equally well in your right or left hand, assuming you are least somewhat ambidextrous. Both primary functions have been thoroughly tested and found effective at their designed purpose. In fact it works better on those vintage USD nuts than one I made for myself a few years back.

But the big question is: does it have a built in church key? :P

He can just use the back edge of his dive knife for that!

YES!

Our very own spectacularly inventive Bill Tucker made this custom vintage valve tool for me! Had to show it off.

AND YES! IT DOES HAVE A CHURCH KEY AS WELL!

BEER AND VINTAGE VALVE REPAIR GO HAND IN HAND!

Thanks again Bill!

Thanks for the kind words Mark. It started out as a joke, but it works surprisingly well, being tweaked to fit those vintage nuts just right. The modern tools just aren't shaped right for them.

So work on your valve then pop a cold beer to celebrate.

I was just wondering if someone was going to do just that. I am so glad that I am not disappointed.
Nice work.

Bill asked me to take photos of the "business end of his vintage tool" so, being fairly certain what he meant, I offer the following pics. Thanks again Bill, it worked fantastic!

I guess that would totally depend on what "business" you are up to at the moment. :)

M, thanks for putting up the photos. I wanted all to see how simple it is to convert the can opener end to fit the nuts. All you need is a Dremel tool and file.

The little tab that catches the can rim was left on intentionally. It's a place to park your thumb for leverage to hold the the tool securely in the slot.
