Czech vintage diving website

Tue Sep 01, 2015 7:57 am

I've been doing a little online research and chanced upon Dušan Šuráni's vintage diving history website at
http://www.vsc-ds.cz/
The site is in Czech, but text can be easily if roughly rendered into English by running it through Google Translate. It contains plenty of illustrated information, including images of, and texts for, two pages of double-hose regulators including some of Czech, Polish, East German and Yugoslav origin:
http://www.vsc-ds.cz/sbirka/dvouhadicov ... regulatory

Hope this is new to everybody and therefore may be of some interest.

I've never seen that site before......Lots of regulators I never knew existed. Great find!
Doing it right should include some common sense, not just blindly following specs and instructions. .Gary D, AWAP on SB

So far as I can understand from the Google Translate rendering of the Czech, this regulator has an uncertain provenance, possibly a product of Medi, the East German manufacturer of breathing equipment, or possibly a home made device, using cannibalised parts. The Voit label appears to have been stuck on by the original owner for no good reason; it has nothing otherwise to do with whoever originally made the regulator.

Hi,
Dusan is a friend of mine and his website is well known here because of its excellent photos.
You can find the link on my homepage too.
The Voit labeled reg is not a product of MEDI. But it is a homemade reg from the old GDR, I know the designer.
The label is only a joke.
