Kraken #22 at Mermet Springs

Thu Sep 04, 2014 12:36 pm

Thia is my first published video with my GoPro and I haven't mastered the camera angle and editing techniques yet. This was taken at Mermet Springs in Southern Illinois while my buddy and I swam through the sunken 727 in the quarry. The tail sits in about 20-25 feet of water and the nose dips down to about 55 feet (and below the thermocline Brrrr).

Thanks for the video Mike. Argonauts are making the rounds for sure!

It goes to show you how versatile of a regulator it is. Fresh or salt water, cold or warm water, and deep or shallow the kraken is great. Plus, you can turn it from modern style to vintage style with just an adjustable wrench and an allen key.

Hi Mike, nice video.
If you are interested, I wrote an article for an e magazine this spring detailing some things I have learned about shooting and editing video with a go pro. It can be seen here starting on page 10. Hopefully the link works.
