I've been cleaning my regs with a solution of Salt Terminator and white vinegar. Normally I reuse the solution till it looks nasty. Last month I experimented on a verry abused second stage with some steel wool. Having not played with steel wool and vinegar as a kid, I was quite alarmed when I opened the lid last night to meet a warm cloud of brown smoke. Then to my amazement watching the container shrivel after re closing the lid. Backdraft was on my mind. And thats just from the fibers, I never leave my tools in the solution. At least there was a patch of lawn I didn't kneed.
