Dacor clipper timeline

Thu Apr 08, 2021 2:20 pm

I recently acquired a Dacor C-2 Clipper from Seahunt Jerry. The reg is in great shape and even breathes pretty well. Out of curiosity I consulted my 1967 edition of Fred Roberts Basic scuba to see what may be there. There was a little on the original Dacor lung and the R 4, but nothing on the Clipper series. I now own both the C-2 and the C-3 and they are both nice regs. Does anyone know around when these were produced? Just curious...

Jim, if you look in the Dacor service manual #1 on page 1-1 there is a complete list of regs and dates up until 84.
Here are the C series
C2 1962-65 C3 66-74 and C3N 74-79

Please email me for a PDF copy of the very interesting 2015 Journal of Diving History article concerning the Dacor DH history, time line, serial #s, production runs, etc.

There's quite a bit of interesting minutiae in it as well.

SJ, I've already hooked you up. Check your email.

Phil
