Excellent Visibility and Vintage Fun!
- Those of us who were able to get to Wazee early on Friday were treated to bright sunny weather, calm seas, and visibility in excess of 35 ft. We got in two Vintage dives and I shot lots of video of Seahunt Jerry with his triples and Waterlung double hose. Tom McClusky and I did a "Jet Air Theme Dive"... Both wearing yellow tanks and Jet Air Regs. Of course I also dove my Twin 38s and yellow hose Mistral. We had three new divers checking out Vintage in the group. Got in two good dives before going to dinner at 3:00. Then we took naps and went diving again with the the Friday night arrivals. That bit of diving finished up around 8:00 PM and we went to Culvers afterwards.
- Lots of good friendly diving and vintage talk. We didn't get out of Culvers until after 9:30 PM. I went back to the Motel and talked "Vintage" with SwimJim who had just arrived... Bringing representation from the prestigious Deep Six Divers.
- We had plans for watching Sea Hunt via video projector as well as show and tell Vintage equipment time... But everyone enjoyed the visiting and diving so much we just let the party go in that direction and before we knew it, it was time to quit for the night.
- Saturday dawned slightly overcast but that quickly burned off into another gorgeous sunny day. We now had 7-8 Vintage divers in the group. Mark Steer and his wife Nancy arrived Saturday. SwimJim, Tom. Jerry, me, Guy, Mike and his family, and two other fellows who's names I can't remember. Tough to get everyone together at the same time for a group photo. SwimJim had to head back home before the above photo was taken by Nancy. Left to right are Sea Hunt Jerry, Mark, Tom, and me (SurfLung). Also diving with us were the lovely and gracious Nanette and our new friend Dick... a nice fellow getting back into diving after a few years away.
- We did three Vintage dives Friday and two on Saturday. I shot a lot of video above and below water and will try to get something edited together to post here later.
- Thanks Sea Hunt Jerry for organizing this event. Everyone had a great time.
