great to see you are back in the water and diving. Great pictures especially the one of Christ of the Abyss. Thats where Dan and I laid our friend Rick to rest per his instructions. I am partial to the keys in June also. May change my vote... :? At any rate good to hear you are doing well. Robohips x3

If y'all do the Panhandle region in April I am going to be in a drysuit or something. Might just stay on top and yell down at y'all like my mom used to do, like I could hear her

Sorry Luis, I was drinking, can I blame it on that

I haven't voted yet because I don't know if the dates will work for me. When do you figure this Sand Dog get together will take place? A rough idea is good enough.

Looks like June in either PCB or Key Largo to get an above average chance for good seas.

I dove last year with the Dive Locker in Panama City and was impressed with their operation. Generally over all gulf waters tend to be calmer than the Atlantic. The later in the year the better.
The keys are nice but it doesn't take much wind to stir up the visibility on the shallow reefs.

The average surface water temperature for PC for May and June is 80, it may be 10 degrees cooler on the bottom. The only true divable WWII ship wreck is the Empire Mica is 60 SE of PC. Dive Locker run trips to it.

I voted for PCB. Good times there on many spring breaks. Good diving too. And I like Hooters out front....of the hotel, I mean.

Thanks Joe but all things considered I think I'm gonna call it PCB in June

Waiting for Bernie to get back from his dive trip to help us nail down an exact date. I'll see him at DEMA at the latest.

Barb is getting details from the dive locker and searching for out best lodging deals. The state park is 2 miles away so you guys can camp if you prefer.

Still working on plans for the annual cookout on Saturday afternoon or we could do an evening event if the vote goes that way....I'm thinking private room at a restaurant and everyone pays for what they eat and drink on their own....

Once we get an exact June date we can iron out the details. Sounds like we have a great dive shop to work with and Barb has done a great job getting all the info so far.

That sounds awesome! Many thanks go out to Barb for her work scouting the area in preparation for this Sand Dog.

I'm really looking forward to visiting Bernie & diving PCB. 8)
