It's good to hear that you're coming to Portage Herman; I'll be looking forward to meeting you guy's. Sorry to hear that you're not coming Jim; hopefully I'll see you next year; or maybe one of these days if I ever get back to The U.P. we can hook up at Fortune Pond. Terry

Ok got our room reserved. Henry and myself are at the Days Inn on E Wooster. Anyone else staying there?? We will arrive 4-5pm on Fri so I don't think we will go by the quarry but meeting for dinner would be great.

We'll all most likely be at the quarry when you guy's get in; but usually a group will get together at one of the restaurants for dinner on Wooster. The quarry isn't that far from where you are staying; so if you get a chance to come by late afternoon / early evening you'll most likely catch most of us there. To get there just go west on Wooster to Dixie Hwy and then head south on Dixie Hwy (Rte 25); the quarry will be on your right hand side at 12701 South Dixie Highway. Either way; we'll hook up so you can meet everyone. Oh; as for the quarry our group is usually gathered just after you come in the entrance at the quarry over on the left right at the waters edge. See you in a few days! Terry

You will get to Portage before we do so if you have the chance swing by and ask if they can set aside a couple of those big tables for us for 7:30? I'm sure we can easily fill 20 or so spots.

I think it is El Zarape.

There are about three Mexican restaurants in that stretch of road. The last one we ate at was the one behind the Big Boys with the big yellow building (I am looking at Google maps… I don’t have that kind of memory).

The last time I was there I had 3 too many margarita's, so I'll practice restraint this year. See you all soon.

I was mistaken. El Zarape was in the yellow building a few years back (and the sign that shows on the street level views from Google still shows it in the yellow building) but it is not there anymore. El Zarape is now on the shopping center about a block down the road closer to I-75.

The restaurant in the yellow building behind the Big Boys where we ate last year is called Cinco de Mayo.
