Inland Divers vintage Scuba annual Lake Wayzee

Sat Feb 05, 2011 1:30 pm

Hi,
Several of us are planning the Lake Wayzee dives for July29-31st.
Pioneer Village Campgrounds are the best choice.
There ia an activity room for meetings and its worked out fine before and has
a pool if needed to test your gear.
This year we probably will not have a barbeque, food is readily avaiable at
the Casino or local restaurants.

All divers are welcome you do not have to use vintage double or single hose
gear.
Kemps chocolate Milk is the best to drink, Bryan agrees MOO MOO! 8) :D

I've got my reservation at the Falls Motel and will be diving with the Sea Hunt Jerry and the other Vintage Guys in Lake Wazee. Dives are scheduled for Friday afternoon and then two dives on Saturday morning and afternoon. Should be fun! :D

Tom got some underwater shots that should be neat: Us Vintage guys were
swimming by as three Re-Breather guys were coming up... Man they had the full rigs... More corrugated hoses than all of us put together and big fat side tanks, too. I hope those pictures turn out. Even us old farts looked sleek compared to THEM!
I talked to a couple BCD divers in the parking lot and they seemed totally shocked that we could dive without BC's. Also shocked that our regs were virtually new with all the new rebuild parts.
I had a real nice time. Jerry watched over everybody to keep us safe. Tom and I were the last to leave and talked Vintage over dinner at the casino. Really fun to hear how the Vintage movement got started and about the people who've played parts in it.

Wazee Photos Are Here...

- As you can see, there were definitely some double hoses diving the Wazee event. Tom McClusky snapped all of these pictures except the one of him (orange tank).
- Counter clockwise from the top left: Eben, Tom, Devon, and Will. :D
