I have an AL63 twinset on a military solid bar manifold I dive with my DH. I just use a sex bolt to attach at the plate so it is flush.
I'm going to have to set up my VDH plate for working with doubles like that. :)
The older I get the better I was.

Bill - I also use a pair of center-bored delrin rod/cylinders as spacers to back up the plate..... They originally came with the bands I had to set their closure.

I just (last night) finished doubling-up my OMS (Faber) LP 46 cylinders using bands from Piranha and a U.S. Divers single outlet manifold. My intention is/was to use my VDH Vintage Plate with these "baby doubles." I hope to source and purchase some sex nuts soon to complete this setup. Meanwhile, I attached my old DiveRite doubles Al backplate.

Couple of questions:

1. These very narrow (5.5" OD) tanks mean that the Phoenix nozzle on my DAAM extends the regulator "can" way past what will be the plane of the Vintage plate. Is this a problem for anyone who has tried this? Do you wish you had used tanks having a bigger OD (e.g., 6.9" old-school PST '72, or 7.25" Luxfer Al 63, like @rhwestfall, above)?

2. For anyone who has tried this, have you wished you had used the slightly longer Faber LP 50's (vs. 46's), instead?

Thanks,
