Dual Faber 80s and a Kraken

I put together a set of twin Faber 80s on a modern tech back plate that I had hanging around and man it was great. No weight belt needed and just a puff from my horse collar to stop a catastrophic fast drop to the bottom. The rig weighs in at approximately 85lbs. full up with harness and weighs about as much as a serious combat ruck sack prepped for a 1 month mission. The harness was extremely comfortable and made the hump to the coral not unpleasant in the least. At 160cuf. one can seriously be in trouble of busting a table or two if one is not paying attention to one's BT. At the end of a 60 minute dive to a max depth of 110, I still had 1600 psi and hadn't pulled the J valve yet as there was no need. WOW and !!!!FUN!!!! Egress out was about the same as carrying a steel 120, but with no tank knocking you in your butt before, during, or after the dive. Great centering on the upper back and shoulders for load bearing. A real pleasure. My Kraken is ALWAYS at the right position between the shoulders, just great.

I use a set Faber 75s (9lt) with a Spotsways manifold and that IS a lot of air.

You do have a 8) set though.

Nice! I just put together a set of Worthington LP85's on a dual outlet/center post Sherwood manifold. No j-valve, but I'm liking it! Been diving it with twin AL63's on a solid bar. I get 2 drift dives at 1 hour each per fill.... can't wait to see how these do for me.

this got me thinking.....

I usually can't dive our XS-Scuba HP80 (wife's tank) on a conventional BP/W as it tips me on my face. Perhaps, with wearing it low for the DH, I might be able to use it (and the Faber MP72 too).....

I am wondering about a wing for this dingus. Any suggestions Folks? I love my horse collars, but a wing would definitely stabilize me easier in the water column.

Say, what kind on manifold are you using?

Damn Luis, nothing gets past you. Yep, it's a Sherwood with reserve I refurbished over here. :)
