SS BACK PLATE

Tue May 21, 2013 4:33 pm

I have a VDH back plate and it works great.
But a little more weight would be nice.
So this is my new SS plate.
The wing is a modified DR Venture Wing
Needs a few more adjustments. It's probably at about 20# lift.

What did or how did you modify the wing? I thought the Venture wing was 35 lb lift.

The wing is a 35# Venture wing.
I took it all a part and restitched all the seams.
You can see in the picture that the top of the wing is now u shaped and the sides and bottom narrowed.
So with the shell narrowed down it does not allow the bladder to expand fully.
It seems to give me close to the same bouyancy as my Oxy 18# Travel wing.

The Venture wing has the inflator offset more than the Oxy so there is more room around the cans.

Very clever. Does the inflator on the oxycheq wing rub at all or is it just close?
