After much work (on and off as other commitments took priority), and lots of help from Bill Tucker, there is some good news:
According to Sunday's sample test, I am pumping Grade E air from this compressor!
(oh, and it is 3,200 psi, not 2,200)

wow, I just realized it has been almost a year I have had this compressor....
