As one of the suppliers of reproduction regulator labels, I would rather see you get one from me, however, I did do some repainting a few years ago, before I made the repros. I used hobby paint made by the Testor Corporation. One is labeled Model Master Custom Spray Enamel: Bright Yellow #52921. The other is Colors by Boyd Enamel Paint: Sportster Yellow #52921. (Same number). Repainting is easy. Getting the paint off the raised stainless letters, etc. is NOT. I have carefully scraped, used the light, very, very fine sand paper and even the edge of a glass plate. My best advice is trial and error and a bit of luck. Good fortune. OR (humbly advised), get a repro.
