Is it an actual bottom to top RECONSTRUCTION, or is it a RECONSTITUTED (some parts original to the unit, some parts from other regulators of the same kind and other parts remanufactured/re-engineered), or is it a RESURRECTED or total rebuild of an original? I know, semantics. Regardless, it is WAY COOL! Does anyone out there (Adair perhaps?) have one of these in original or near original form. Is it fully functional and if so, when are they going to dive it? Just wondering. :?:

Eric Souverville who visits here every so often does historical displays for Air Liquide / AquaLung in France. I have seen an original in his displays but not sure who the owner actually is. Perhaps he will stop by and give more details. I have heard that some of the originals were lost during a fire years ago. Below is a link to some photos of the earliest regulators. Use your web translator for more info. If we are lucky some of the site owners read this and stop by for more details. I'm not a collector at all but these prototype and 1st regulators are very interesting to me and I hope more information and pictures show up.
