Vintage Double Hose

Hello,

My name is Joe and I am an avid collector and builder of replica movie props from my favorite films.

I am attempting to recreate Bond's faux seagull regulator he uses in the opening scenes of Goldfinger. There is frequent discussion about the diving equipment in Thunderball, but i always loved this more obscure item.

The scene is poorly lit, and the photos aren't great even in my bluray captures.

Can anyone provide some guidance? Looks to me that they used four blue, perhaps Aqua-Lung- tubes and a black mouthpiece to create this? Can anyone help me source these parts to purchase?

Looks like Drager hoses and clamps. A Drager that I have has original long blue hoses with the distinctive yellow clamps. Hard to tell about the mouthpiece, but looks to be shaped like the Drager. Don't know about the Y-shaped "duck adapter", but I don't think it's a regulator.

I also vote Draeger. The Y appears to just be a plastic Y fitting of some kind that makes the device work like a snorkel, not a regulator. I would guess that Y could be found at a hardware store of some kind. The bird looks a bit worse for wear and I can not see it very well but I am a waterfowl hunter and at first impression it does not look like a duck to me. More like a gull. But I could be very wrong about that.

If I was going to build one I would incorporate a nice raspy duck call at the end of the hose inside a stuffed mallard and it would quack everytime I exhaled.

I might have to make one. It sure would make bathtime lots of fun!

It looks like a 3/4" Y splitter for a garden hose turned upside down so you can't see the individual valve knobs. You could probably 3D print something in black ABS that would match it.

Always thought it was a sick seagull. Definitely a snorkel device as I remember 007 just slipping out of the water and not doffing any tanks. They probably attached it to some kind of rubber dive hood.
