Excellent! Education is the key as many of us have said for a long time. We will reach out to these guys and get an episode done with a double hose :D

I think Talking Scuba is coming back, but they haven't done anything that I am aware of since Bob Shoemaker's death last summer:

Would be great to see some DH regs on a webisode.

7 Mil no weight..... Uh huh. That ain't going to work. I was taught to weight for target depth, but that was longer ago then I'd care to admit.

Sorry I did not know about what was going on with Talking Scuba. I really hope all of us reach out to anyone who shows a sincere interest in diving vintage scuba gear.

Supposedly they are retooling, and they are going to get it going again. Their new site is pretty nicely done.

For me vintage diving isn't about diving with vintage equipment. Vintage diving is a technique used for diving. It can be done with old or new equipment.

Just as double hose diving is about diving with a reg which has different characteristics to a single hose reg.

Education is the foundation of SCUBA Diving and yes modern equipment coupled with technology has overtaken the education of SCUBA Diving.

It is how VINTAGE DIVING is marketed. It is a technique of SCUBA Diving first and vintage equipment comes second.

It is about education first and foremost.

I agree Kim. I would say it is definitely a method of learning skills, self-reliance, etc. more than it is specifically gear.
