Anyone on the board that has any experience with a Drager? Just acquired a double hose. Love the German engineering - Springs fitted to the can and metal mouthpiece to prevent hoses from crimping. Photos in case they don't post properly:

Are there any parts for the PA61 that are deal breakers? Can you find or scavenge seats, diaphragms, etc? Can you dive it? It certainly looks cool...very German.

The Drager's alternative to the exhaust duckbill is unique. The reg is set up with a typical European DIN connection. Unfortunately, the cylinder that came with the regulator is not DOT approved and probably wouldn't have passed a hydro anyhow but it is a cool looking system when put together. So perhaps this one will end up being a display unit for my office. Can anyone point me to a manual or at least a parts diagram online for this unit?

Dear Draeger- Divers!
It is nice to learn that divers in the US use German regulators. I am a member of the German Historical Diving Society and dive Draeger regulators since decades. So if You have any quetions, need service advice or manuals for Draeger or MEDI, just contact me at:

Guten Tag Herr Franz,
If you would not mind emailing the service manuals for the Draeger regulators, then we would be happy to share them on the site for everyone to use. I know there are people here who would love to read those manuals. You can either click the "email me" button under my name, or email me at
[email protected] . I can make sure that Bryan gets them, so he can post them up for everyone to enjoy.
Willkommen auf unserer Homepage,
Ron

Franz!
What an unexpected surprised to see your posting here. I am certain all the information you can provide on German equipment will appreciated, translated and be made available to American and Canadian divers
My dear wife retired last year as a college president- I had hoped for an extended European vacation to retrace our heritage; Betty's Dutch, mine German- But she was given a very generous one year contract offer and returned as a Senior VP
Maybe and hopefully we can attend the 2015 "Internationalen Klassik- Tauchertreffen." I am certainly looking forward to it.
Very soon I will be sending a package to Frank to share with you and others. Some of the documents will trace the development and acceptance of the American Red and White divers flag. As you recall in 1965 (Wow! 49 years ago) I was the first "expert witness" to testify in a court of law for a diver struck by a boat while fling the divers flag.
Also thank Frank for dedicating his book on SCUBA Pro to me! A great honor and I appreciate it!!!
Warmest regards from California -where it all began
