Anyone know anything about Whirlwind compressors? There's one at auction right now,and I am thinking about bidding on it(so please don't bid against me!). It apparently only fills to 2300psi, although I imagine that I could coax another 200psi out of it for my 72s.

I am not familar with the name Whirlwind so without a picture so I can't help.
I have two U S Divers Cyclone compressors that were made by Luchard in France. They are very rugged units, all cast iron, low RPM.

With the cooling shroud on it's hard to tell but it is probably a Cornelus or Walter Kidde. Built for the military they are very good but slow to fill a tank and also difficult to get parts for.
