Hi Everyone,
I am new to this board but a have a few old double hose regulators. My question is has anyone ever had a regulator rechromed? What did it cost and who did it? IF yes, would you do it again or would you rather keep the original in tact.
Thank in advance?
Jim

Dennis does an excellent job re-chroming regulators. If you would like an estimate on cost before he starts he will be glad to do that. He must see the parts though. Regulators are tough to do. There are a lot of angles, curves and small parts that must be polished by hand before he can re-plate them. He has done quite a few regulators for me in the past and a few for customers. I've never heard a complaint but have heard many compliments. If you have purchased a regulator from me there is a good chance that Dennis has re-chromed a part or two on it.
Chrome plating is a dying art.....The EPA has just about put all of them out of business or made prices too high to afford.

I agree,
Dennis did the exhaust side part of my RAM can, a yoke, two banjo's and six hookah port reducer nuts I had manufactured, all in a weeks time, not counting shipping time.
The chrome finish was beautiful.......he will be getting more business from me in the future.

Bryan

just sent my Royal Mistral parts to Dennis, Sir Chrome A Lot, for Rechromeing and Dennis received it today. He then called me Right Away, to let me know he had it Safe and Sound and he had examined it very well. He gave me an Very Good Idea of the entire Process, what mine needed, plus the many Extras he does to make Your regulator look even better than New. He sounds like a man that really knows his business well and he is a pleasure to speak with and I am really glad Bryan told me about him. Thanks again Bryan for your Wonderfull help. It will be great for Cyndy and me to finally meet you and all the guys at Sand Dog 111. After speaking with Dennis, I am Sure I will have a few other Regulators done later on too. William

Thank everyone for your input. I have contacted Dennis and he is not far from my house. I will be sending him my bodies for replating.
This board has a vast amount of information and I would like to thank everyone ahead of time for sharing.
