Our friend Jeff Rice at Portage Quarry has asked that we keep out eyes out for his CG 45 regulator that was stolen out of the office at Portage Quarry. He has filed a police report on the missing regulator and as most of you know it is a VERY desirable and collectible. So if you see it show up on your local Craigslists or by chance E-bay or any other place please contact Jeff directly at [email protected] or call him at 419-308-2690. Take a look at the pictures and hopefully it will turn up.

I hope Jeff gets his cg45 back safe and soon. I hope it was nobody from our wonderful ranks that took it. Whoever did this will be caught sooner or later. We will be on the lookout for your reg Jeff.

The picture on the bottom shows a different mouthpiece than the picture on the top. Any idea of what mouthpiece was actually on the stolen regulator?
I would guess the metal mouthpiece and that the picture on the bottom is not related to this regulator. It just makes it a bit confusing.

This is a real shame.

I have no idea..I think Jeff would have to answer that on. I just posted this cause he asked me to....But most important if you see a small label CG 45 Serial # 3629 it's a safe bet to assume it's Jeff's no matter what mouthpiece is on it...
It could have already changed hands to a "Private" collector who does not care how they get stuff legal or not as long as they get it....Who knows, I just hope it shows up and is not destroyed or lost for good.

Hmm, seems like the thief knew exactly what they were doing taking a CG45. It probably has already disappeared into a private collection. But maybe the thief will get stupid and post it for sale online somewhere..

This is awful news. I certainly hope that Jeff gets this CG45 back, safe and sound. Jeff does so much for our vintage diving community, I couldn't imagine any vintage diver being involved in this heist.
