Interested to see what you come up with. :D

Thanks for following up on JMJ -I just haven't gotten around to it yet. I plan to order one for a trip to Hawaii this summer.

JMJ called me today to say that my old-school 3mm jacket with twist locks and center zipper is shipping out today. WOW! That was quick. These guys are very courteous and professional. When it gets here I'll post some pictures.

UPS just delivered the JMJ jacket. First, they got the vintage details RIGHT!
All black Smoothskin, no logos - Check!
Beavertail with twistlocks - Check!
Center zipper down the front - Check!

Plus all edges are rolled and sewn and the zipper tab is on the normal side, which all makes it nicer than my Spiros jacket. It's real quality, custom made in the USA just like in the old days.

I tried it on briefly and the fit is good. Beavertail might need to be a little longer, but that's just me. JMJ said to get it in the water and try it, but they will do alternations if needed. These guys have excellent customer service and am extremely happy with it. And the price including shipping was $171. I will post some pictures later tonight!

That does look very nice.

Think they can sew one up to accommodate a not unimpressive beer belly ?

I've been thinking about getting a hydroglove, but I'm a little concerned I'll look like a big black snake that just swallowed a rabbit.

It covers my big beer and cheese-steak belly very nicely. I'm 6'4" 320 lbs.
Overall I really like it and am impressed with the quality. It is well worth the money.
