Help me ID these old Doubles

A good freind of mine gave me a great little set of doubles. They are at least 40 years old as they have a visible hydro date of '67. Unfortunately thats about all thats visible. Thick paint & scum layer obscures most the letters & numbers. I can make out ICC-3AA-1800 on one as well as an HK. They are 1/2 inch thread, 6 1/2" diameter & 18 1/2" tall. Picture can be seen here as well as my gallery-CLICK FOR PHOTO

Any help in IDing & sizing these babies would be appreciated. They have a Voit manifold, Healthways backpack & Scubapro boots.

Well, they're probably 38 cu ft tanks. Don't know about the maker though..

Could the "HK" be a WK? If so then they may be Walter Kiddies. Just a thought.

No, its definately an HK. I'm home sick today and can't stand a mystery. So, since I want to repaint them anyway, I broke out the dremel and cleaned off some paint. The word "VOIT" jumped right out. Original hydro date 6/60, they are 1880 psi, not 1800. Still don't know size, although Cap'n's guess of 38's is probably right. They are painted yellow, but white underneath the yellow. Were they originally white? And what does the HK stand for? Still some mystery. These are gunna look good repainted with Karls stickers on 'em.

Mate those up with a Mistral and you have a winner......They love 1800psi cylinders.

So do you think these could be 42's?

Mystery solved? With that Voit/1960 stamp, they should be 38s. If Voit made 42s that would have to be yet another Voit item that was never listed in any catalog. :? 50 cu. ft. tanks did not appear until 1962. According to my 1960 catalog, 38s only came in galvanized that year. So your tanks have been painted at least twice. In 1961 Voit began offering the 38s in either galvanized or white vinyl.
But, since your tanks came out after the 1960 catalog was printed, the white could be correct if it is vinyl. Even if not I'm sure your tanks will look good painted white. I don't think anyone will be traumatized to see white paint on 1960 Voit tanks.. :P
