Well, I got a cruddy DA off of ebay the other day. It didn't look that great.

It worked when it arrived via UPS today. After some scraping of rotted rubber and a white vinegar bath, this is what it looks like right now.

Hey, thats a nice unit. Make a good diver. I have to admit though, I am partial to the pre 64 satin chrome ones.

I actually thought it was a satin finish when I bought it, due to the quality of the original pictures.
I should have taken some 'before' picture of my own. I never think of it until I'm 50% through a strip down, though. *sigh*

My new RAM from ebay was 1/2 RAM and 1/2 DA. Of course the RAM was the can with the S/N. So I am on the hunt for a RAM nozzle. Hey any of you Phoenix owners want to part with your RAM nozzle.

A simultaneous screw and smooching rumps! I need a nozzle. I have been waitng allof 30 minutes for a response from someone. How long does one have to wait! Patience Patience Patience. Well I guess I will go work on my vintage Tekna. Rewound motor and off to the races. :P

Tekna  , rewound motor

Do I have competition?

A RAM nozzle is hard to come by since most of the Phoenix conversions are DAs. You will need to keep at it, sooner or latter good things will come to those who show patience.

Same thing happened to me. My "new in box" RAM had a DA nozzle inside it..
I do have a RAM nozzle, but it's going in my Voit Navy soon as I save up enough shekels..
