Thumbscrews- how tight?

Thumbscrews- how tight?
My question relates to the Kraken thumbscrews for attaching the hoses to the can. Is it possible to over tighten these by hand (fingers and thumb)to the point where damage may occur to the Kraken can?

Even if you use a screw driver, you will first see the hose squeeze down. If you keep on tightening, you could possibly damage the clamp. You will break the clamp before you damage the horn.
If you are only hand tightening, you can’t harm anything.
