The Fernez Diving Apparatus

Mon Nov 14, 2011 4:58 pm

I picked up a copy of The Fernez Diving Apparatus book by Peter Jackson and Philippe Rousseau. I purchased it from HDS online. It is paperback with a run of 250 but it is very well done. It would fit in with any book on amazon.com. I have tried to collect photos of this device but until now I had only seen the same low res ones that are all over the web. This book has a huge supply of photos as well as the entire manual and information on how others improved it. It references the family and I suspect this is the first time much of this has ever been released.. Pretty easy to see the evolution of adding a tank when they could Handle the pressure and how a duck bill would have been moved. I am very pleased
“A skin diver is a fellow who pulls on a pair of fancy swimming trunks, some rubber fins, a diving mask and canvas gloves, then fills his lungs with air and noses down into the ocean looking for two fisted trouble.”
