Helldivers Rodeo

Mon Nov 20, 2006 4:59 pm

This book is one of my favorites.....It's all about the CRAZY diving that Captain and his buddies do on the rigs in Louisiana..... It has quite a bit of personal stories from the author but does talk a lot about the early days of SCUBA in LA and Cousteau's visit to New Orleans and his discussion on spearfishing....If you are looking for technical, scientific, well written, big words, flashy illustrations...don't bother with this book....If you want to laugh and sometimes nod in agreement with these speargun cowboys it's a sure thing. I know a few of the guys mentioned in the book. I bought one of my Aqua Masters from one. There may be a bit of exaggeration in some of the stories but they are a great bunch of guys. Visit their web site

Louis Rossignol is one of them and has his own web site.

I know we will dive a lot more rigs now that Tiger Bait is up and running!
VDH will be a sponsor for the Helldivers rodeo this year as it has been in the past...
